Tropos
MetroMesh™ solutions deliver true wireless broadband (>1 Mbps
downloading and uploading). They require only 10% of the capital
investment and 8% of the operating expense of 3G cellular networks on a
capacity adjusted basis. Low-cost Wi-Fi clients can connect to Tropos
MetroMesh networks with no need for additional hardware or software.
The
patented Tropos MetroMesh architecture couples superior radios with the
software required to scale metro Wi-Fi networks to nationwide or
international footprints. MetroMesh creates affordable capacity by
making the most efficient possible use of each active RF channel. It
maximizes return on investment by allowing one physical network to be
separated into multiple secure virtual segments for use by different
subscriber populations. MetroMesh's adaptive connectivity compensates
for the wide variety of Wi-Fi clients used to access metro-scale mesh
networks, providing the foundation for an outstanding user experience.
MetroMesh also provides the software tools required for centralized
visibility, analysis and control of highly dispersed networks,
minimizing operating expenses.
MetroMesh
