He was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Stanford University by the Minnesota Vikings. He has also played for the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals. Walters won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as a senior at Stanford as college football's best wide receiver. Although listed at 5'8", Walters height is reportedly only 5'5" according to other sources, making him one of the NFL's shortest players of all time. He is currently the offensive coordinator at Indiana State University.
Walters attended A&M; Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas and was a good student and a letterman in football, basketball, and track. In football, as a senior, he was a second team All-Greater Houston selection and a third team All-State selection.
