The current principal is Arline Tansley and the vice principal is Joseph Norcross.
The school was originally constructed in 1947. Tyrrell MS used to be the elementary school, and Alcott Elementary School used to be the middle school. The district decided to add on to Tyrrell Elementary School to make it ready to become Wolcott's new middle school. Meanwhile, Wolcott's old middle school (Alcott) simply became the district's elementary school as the town needed more space for its elementary students.
