Un chien andalou (English: An Andalusian Dog) is a 1928 short surrealist film made in France by the Spanish director Luis Buñuel and the Spanish artist Salvador Dalí. It was released in 1929 in Paris for a limited showing, but became popular and ran for eight months. It is one of the best-known surrealist films of the avant-garde movement of the 1920s.
