The University of Western Sydney, also known as UWS, is a university in Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. UWS has campuses in the Greater Western Sydney suburbs of Rydalmere, Westmead, Richmond, Quakers Hill, Werrington South, Werrington North, Kingswood, Milperra and Campbelltown. UWS is mainly a provider of undergraduate degrees. There are also students doing postgraduate coursework and research. Some UWS researchers have an international reputation. In recent years UWS has opened a medical school, and teams from the School of Law have won the 2003 National Final, Law Council of Australia, Family Law Mooting Competition and Winner 2008 Australasian Law Students Association Mooting Competition. If all UWS campuses were to be combined, it would total 4050 hectares.
