Unreal Anthology is a compilation pack containing Unreal Gold (which includes Unreal and its expansion pack), Unreal Tournament, Unreal II: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament 2004: Editors Choice Edition, and "A history of Unreal Music" bonus soundtrack CD . The package includes pre-patched and up-to-date versions for most of the included games. The anthology was partially intended as a way for Epic to remarket the games under their new publisher for the series, Midway Games, after leaving Atari shortly after Unreal Tournament 3s announcement. The package was originally released at a price of US$30. It is also available (without the soundtrack CD) via STEAM as the "Unreal Deal Pack".
Initial reactions to the announcement of the package were good partially due to its format: instead of having multiple discs for each game (which would total over 10 CD-ROM for all original releases), all four games are packaged on a single dual-layer DVD-ROM with a unified installer and pre-patched games....
