ValuJet's first flight (Flight 901 from Atlanta to Tampa) was on October 26, 1993, with service from Atlanta to Orlando, Jacksonville and Tampa with a single Douglas DC-9 that had previously belonged to its chief competitor, Delta Air Lines.
