He retired from acting in 1964 and later became a successful businessman.
According to Wally, when he visited the Hollywood producer who would start his career, Mickey Rooney was in the producer's office. When the producer said "Oswaldo Castellano" wouldn't make a good actor's name, Mickey Rooney said, "Well, then make it Wally Cassell". And that was it.
