Mr. Robson began his acting career in Vancouver, acting on stage. In the 1970s he migrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada, where he continued his stage acting career, and acted in Canadian television commercials. After receiving several small character roles in films such as McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) and Popeye (1980), Mr. Robson got his film acting break in the 1984 film The Grey Fox, starring alongside American actor Richard Farnsworth in the role of Shorty, for which he was nominated for a Canadian Genie Award for Best Supporting Actor.
