The catalog is contrived so that the WAB numbers for the symphonies are the same as the symphony number plus 100 (thus technically the Study Symphony in F minor is No. −1 rather than No. 00). Quite unlike Köchel and Perger, Grasberger made no attempt whatsoever at figuring out chronology; instead she sorted the compositions alphabetically by title (and occasionally numerically, such as with the Psalms) within each of the subranges.
