West Campus High School is a public college preparatory magnet high school in Sacramento, California. The school serves about 800 students in the Sacramento City Unified School District in grades 9-12. West Campus used to be a satellite school of nearby Hiram Johnson but became its own school for the 2002-2003 school year. The class of 2006 was the first class to graduate from West Campus having spent all four years at the school. There was talk of West Campus changing its mascot due to the controversy it created. The original name, "Warriors", had caused some unrest because some believed it was offensive to Native-Americans. However, it seems now that the school has decided to keep their title as the "Warriors".
West Campus has an API score of 903 and has a state ranking of 10. On April 18, 2007 West Campus High School received the California Distinguished School Award.
