Each episode follows the story about a girl, Sarah, her dog, Wilfred and Sarah's new boyfriend, Adam. After Sarah and Adam's first date, Adam goes home with Sarah and Adam meets a scruffy dog, who only Adam sees as a person, dressed blatantly in a dog costume. The dog develops a grudge on his owner's new boyfriend and tests out to see if he is capable of being his new "daddy". So an unsuspecting Adam who is keen on winning Sarah's heart has Wilfred to contend with.
A compilation of all 8 episodes of Wilfred was released on DVD in Australia by SBS in April 2007....
