William Juarez (born April 22, 1981 in Manzanillo, Nicaragua) is a professional baseball pitcher for the Palfinger Reggio Emilia of Italy's Serie A1.
Juarez was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as a nondrafted free agent on May 26, 2000, and saw his first professional action on their Dominican Summer League team as a 19 year-old in 2000. Juarez was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as a nondrafted free agent on May 26, 2000, and saw his first professional action on their Dominican Summer League team as a 19 year-old in 2000. He was 4-5 with a 3.77 ERA in 11 starts for the DSL team. In 2002, he played with Arizona's rookie ball team, the Missoula Osprey and in 2003 he was in Single-A with the Yakima Bears. He spent 2004 with both the South Bend Silver Hawks and the Double-A El Paso Diablos.
He pitched for Nicaragua in the IBAF World Cup in Havana, Cuba in October 2003.
On January 11, 2005, he was traded by the Diamondbacks with Danny Muegge, Beltran Perez and Dioner Navarro to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for Shawn Green.
