Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. (WISCO) (武汉钢铁(集团)公司 pinyin: Wǔhàn Gāngtiě(Jítuán) Gōngsī) was founded in 1958 in Qingshan, Wuhan, Hubei, China. It was China's first supergiant iron and steel complex. Annually, the company produces ten million tons of iron and steel each. (pinyin source: Cozy Website) Its subsidiary, Wuhan Iron and Steel Company Limited (SSE: 600005), was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1999.
