Wilbur Hoolick (Lewis) is the apprentice of a barber who doesn't have enough money for train fare. He pretends to be an eleven-year-old in order for him to purchase a ticket for half price. Once on the train, Hoolick gets the impression that the thief is a jealous husband and he hides from him in the compartment of Nancy Collins (Lynn), a teacher at a private girl's school.
