ZettaCore was
founded by scientists from the University of California Riverside and
North Carolina State University, along with business executives with
experience in computer, IT and biotechnology firms. The company has
attracted considerable attention in the venture capital community,
closing its first round of funding late in 2001. ZettaCore's
venture backers include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Kleiner Perkins
Caufield & Byers, Oxford Biosciences, Radius Venture Partners,
Access Venture Partners, Garrett Capital/BancOne and Stanford
University.
ZettaCore is an attractive
partner for the semiconductor industry. Its focus has always been on
creating technology and product platforms that can be used broadly for
memory applications and on ensuring that adoption of technology can
