In addition to being a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, he represents San Francisco County on the Bay Area Air Quality Management District Board of Directors. Daly grew up in Bowie, Maryland and Gaithersburg, Maryland, suburbs north of Washington, DC. His father was a federal employee and consultant, and his mother an accountant.
