The Getaway is the first game in The Getaway series. It was released for the Playstation 2 in 2002/2003. The game is set in London.The story is said to have been inspired by British gangland films Get Carter and Snatch.
The Getaway: Black Monday is the second game in the series and was again developed for the Playstation 2 in 2004/2005. The games story is based on such movies as Get Carter, The Long Good Friday, lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It is a follow-up to The Getaway.
