The Greenway is a footpath and cycleway in East London constructed on the embankment containing the Northern Outfall Sewer. The path runs from Wick Lane in Bow through Stratford, Plaistow and Newham to Royal Docks Road in Beckton. It was known locally as sewerbank before a full renovation in the mid-nineties. However, the route has once again fallen into disrepair with pot holes and broken gates. The Capital Ring Walk (section 14) follows the Greenway for most of its distance. The point where the Greenway runs above the former Marshgate Lane in Hackney Wick is the closest the public can view the London Olympic Stadium currently under construction. 51°32′15″N 0°01′29″W / 51.5375°N 0.02472°W / 51.5375; -0.02472 The route's start point 51°31′08″N 0°04′21″E / 51.51889°N 0.0725°E / 51.51889; 0.0725 The route's end point
