Nova 100 (call sign: 3MEL) is a commercial radio station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, broadcasting on 100.3 MHz. It has a policy of "never more than two ads in a row" and quickly established itself as a major player in the Melbourne radio market, challenging the Austereo station Fox FM for the number one market position playing alternative, hip hop, pop & dance music with a strong lean towards new music. Nova 100 is owned by DMG Radio Australia, a subsidiary of the UK's Daily Mail Group, with a sister station Vega 91.5fm, which share the same studio location on Level 2, 678 Victoria St, Richmond VIC. Nova 100 commenced on the Melbourne airwaves on Monday 3 December 2001. It was the first new commercial radio station in Melbourne for 21 years. Nova 100 operates on the 100.3 MHz FM frequency at the ATV10 tower on Mount Dandenong. Its strength is 56 kw and is transmitted to areas including the Greater Melbourne metropolitan area, Geelong and the Surf Coast, south to Phillip Island, north west to the Macedon Ranges and east to the Yarra Valley. Weekend Shows Fill In/Weekends: Shura Taft, Ash Williams, Vaya Pashos and Daniel Gawned.
