It was released on April 25, 2005 internationally, May 9 in the United Kingdom and a day later in the United States. Special editions of the album sold exclusively in Best Buy retailers feature a 44-minute interview bonus disc, A Conversation with Robert Plant, with an interview by Nigel Williamson. This album was chosen as one of Amazon.com's Top 100 Editor's Picks of 2005, and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. The album was re-released in a remastered edition on March 20, 2007 and as a part of the Nine Lives boxset. Mighty ReArranger was sold in France with a bonus disc of live tracks recorded at Studio 104 in Paris on June 9, 2005.
