Mustafa Halilsoy (born February 25, 1949 in Agios Nikolaos, Paphos, Cyprus) is a prominent Cypriot theoretical physicist, and received his PhD degree in physics from Middle East Technical University specializing in gravitational physics. He is one of the contributors to general relativity, in particular to exact solutions in general relativity. Professor Halilsoy is still actively working on gravitational physics at Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus, focusing on exact solutions in general relativity. His analytic descriptions of colliding gravitational waves and gravitational singularity problems appeared in astro-physical black-holes, nonlinear problems of mathematical physics as well as fields and particles in general. He took his surname after his father's name, "Halil". He is married with three children.
