The University of Illinois Press (UIP), is a major American university press and part of the University of Illinois. According to the UIP's website: The University of Illinois Press was established in 1918 as a not-for-profit scholarly publisher at the University. We became one of the founding members of the Association of American University Presses in 1937 and now rank as one of the country's larger and most distinguished university presses.
