Murilo Benício Ribeiro (born July 13, 1972, in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian television/film actor. He was the star of Amores Possíveis (2001) (Possible Loves) which won the Jury award for Latin American cinema at the Sundance Film Festival. More recently he starred in O Homem do Ano (2003) (Man of the Year). With the actress Alessandra Negrini he had son named Antônio and, with the actress Giovanna Antonelli, a son named Pietro. He is quoted for saying that Charlie Chaplin inspired him as a young boy to be an actor. His favorite author is Miguel de Cervantes.
