The Warriors have won a state record four consecutive IHSAA (Indiana High School Athletic Association) class 5-A football championships (2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006 ), attaining a ranking as high as #2 in the USA Today Prep Top 25 poll. The football team also won the inaugural 5A state football title in 1985 after winning the 4A title the previous season in 1984.Future NFL QB and #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft Jeff George was the QB for those teams. The cross country team won its first-ever state championship in 2005 and placed 15th in the Nike invitational tournament held in Oregon December 3, 2005.
