Bill Lawrence (born 1969) is a creator, writer, producer, and director of television program. After graduating from the College of William & Mary, Lawrence wrote four hit shows including Friends, Boy Meets World, and The Nanny and produced the animated series Clone High. He is also the creator of the sitcom Spin City and his current venture, the comedy-drama Scrubs, which has finished seven seasons on NBC and is moving to ABC as a 2008-09 midseason replacement.
