"Couplet" is episode 14 of season 3 in the television show Angel.
Angel feels isolated, obsolete and even a bit jealous when the Groosalugg arrives in Los Angeles (after being exiled from Pylea) and immediately saves the gang in a battle with a demon, and is welcomed into the loving arms of Cordelia. Meanwhile, Gunn and Fred, having declared their love for each other, take on a case in which they investigate the disappearance of a man and end up underground as captives of a life-draining tree creature. But when the Groosalugg fails to save Gunn and Fred, Angel steps in and succeeds where the Groosalugg could not, which prompts Cordelia to leave town with ‘Groo’ so they can sort their feelings. Meanwhile, Wesley begins to research a mysterious prophecy concerning baby Connor.
While looking over Connor, a jealous Angel talks about the Groosalugg with Lorne. Lorne picks up on Angel's jealousy and tries to persuade the vampire to pursue Cordelia, but Angel tries to be content with a life...
