Xellos (ゼロス, Zerosu) (sometimes spelled Xelloss) is a fictional character and major protagonist from the Slayers manga, light novels, and anime. Being Zellas Metallium's priest and general, some people think that his full name is Xellos Metallium. However, in manga publications where all characters appeared with full names, he appeared as Xellos(and he is never addressed or referred to by a last name in the original novels), thus that and only that is his name. Under the orders of Hellmaster Phibrizzo, Xellos followed Lina sometimes helping, but often hampering her quest to find the Claire Bible. During this time he hides under the guise of a traveling priest, though he is revealed to be a Mazoku in the later episodes of the series. In the climactic showdown with Chaos Dragon Gaav in the one of the episodes of Slayers NEXT, Xellos defends Lina and Co. from the attacks of Seigram and Gaav, though taking a grievous wound in the process.
