A strange space phenomenon duplicates the Moon and everything on it, and seems to have a special effect on one crewmember, Regina. The duplicate Moon quickly recedes into the distance, while the first Moon seems moved through space, with a curiously-familiar star ahead... with nine planets. The Moon decelerates into orbit around Earth, and during the approach, they vainly try to make contact with anyone on Earth. Regina dies shortly after the Moon settles into orbit, and an autopsy shows she has two brains, explaining her apparently double-life on Earth and on the Moon.
