The Atlantic Division is a division in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. The 76ers, Knicks, Nets, and the Celtics were already in the seven team Atlantic before the merge that brought the Raptors and sent the Heat, Magic and Wizards to the new Southeast Division. The current divisions have been active since the start of the 04-05 season. The defending champions are the Boston Celtics.
