The new day in Deadwood begins with the disposal of the dead; as town reverend Henry Weston Smith prepares the body of the man shot by Wild Bill and Seth Bullock for burial, E.B. Farnum drops off the corpse of Tim Driscoll at Mr. Wu￢ﾀﾘs pig sty for another kind of burial. While going through his effects, Reverend Smith discovers the man￢ﾀﾙs name to be Ned Mason, which peaks the interest of Swearengen henchman Johnny Burns who is talking with the Reverend. He quickly leaves for the Gem.
Meanwhile, Brom Garret tries to work his claim with the assistance of his ￢ﾀﾘfriend￢ﾀﾙ Dan Dority, but unsurprisingly finds no gold while panning on his recently acquired claim. Prospector Ellsworth, whose claim is adjacent to that of Brom, happens upon the pair, and...
