Warden Pope is informed over the radio that Bellick’s truck is parked at the prison lot. Held at knifepoint by Michael, Pope tells the guard that Bellick is taking some personal time. Michael asks that Lincoln be transferred to the infirmary. After Pope radios the request, Michael gags him up, ties him to a chair, and wheels him into a closet. Michael apologizes and tells Pope that Bellick can be found under the guards’ room. Michael then knocks him unconscious with the walkie-talkie and closes the doors. He dials on the office phone, leaves the receiver on the desk and leaves the room.
