Veronica Stallwood is an English novelist. Stallwood was born in London. She now lives in a village south of Oxford. She is the creator of Kate Ivory, novelist turned amateur detective in Oxford. Veronica Stallwood is the author of a series of novels set in Oxford and featuring writer of historical novels and often reluctant sleuth Kate Ivory. Many of the plots turn on events from the past in which Kate uses her skills in historical research to good effect. Stallwood is also the author of two non-series novels.
