Barentuu/Barentoo or (older) Baraytuma is one of the two moieties of the Oromo people. The other moiety is Borana. The Barentu Oromo inhabit the west, north, central, and east parts of the Oromia Region in Ethiopia. Unlike the Boranas, the Barentus all have a different dialect to the Oromo language (Afaan Oromoo) in all provinces.
