WOCK-CA is the CaribeVisión affiliate for Chicago, Illinois in the United States. It is owned by KM Communications, and transmits on VHF channel 4. It is a sister station to ethnic WOCH-CA.
The station was originally assigned the translator call sign of W13BE; it changed to WOCK-LP in 1994, and received class-A status in 2000, making it WOCK-CA.
Formerly an over-the-air MTV2 station, it was an affiliate of The Box until that network's acquisition by Viacom in 2001. It became an affiliate of Florida based Videomix which aired hip hop music videos during the mid summer 2001. In autumn 2001, it began broadcasting programs from China Central Television (CCTV International CCTV-4 and CCTV-9), provided by China Star TV,then broadcast programming from Azteca América until late 2008.
The station broadcasts with an extremely directional antenna, which points north and southwest, and this leaves out the highly populated northwest side of Chicago as well as the northwest suburbs.
WOCK-CA received a construction permit to build a low-power digital television station on channel 4, radiating primarily to the southwest.
