In 2003, Long won the Tampa Am contest in Tampa, Florida. In the same year he turned pro for Baker Skateboards. In 2005 he received his own pro model shoe, the KSL1, with Emerica. Kevin's second pro shoe, named the "KSL Dos", was released in 2007. His third pro model shoe the "spanky" was released in June 2008. Long has appeared in the video, Baker 3, which was the recipient of the Best Video award at the 8th Annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards. He was also featured in Emerica's "This is Skateboarding" and "Kids in Emerica" which both show his incredible talent for skateboarding. Recently he appeared in Baker Skateboard's "Baker Has a Deathwish".
