"Little Green Men" was the first episode of the second season of The X-Files science-fiction television series created by Chris Carter. Agent Fox Mulder narrates a history of NASA's Voyager program and the now-definct High-Resolution Microwave Survey, which sought to contact extraterrestrial life in outer space. In Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the equipment activates at one of the Survey's abandoned observatories, indicating a response from an alien intelligence. Mulder has been re-assigned to reviewing wiretap footage while former partner Dana Scully is back teaching at the FBI Academy at Quantico. The two meet at the parking lot of the Watergate Hotel.
