The theme songs for the series were performed by Roman Tam and Jenny Tseng. According to the behind-the-scenes featurette on the DVD, the Mongolian scenes were filmed in Lantau Island, Hong Kong. While the roles of adult Kwok Jing and Wong Yung were played by different actors (Leung Ka Yan and Auyeung Pui San, respectively) in the 1983 TVB adaptation Return of the Condor Heroes, many actors reprised their roles, most notably: Lau Daan as Hong Qigong, Kong Ai as Ke Zhen'e, Wong Chun as Zhou Botong, Chak Lam Yeung as Ouyang Feng, Kenneth Tsang as Huang Yaoshi, and Shih Kien as Qiu Qianren. less
