This station once played a satellite-fed Adult Standards format called "AM Only" (now Dial Global's America's Best Music). The station's motto was, "The World's Most Beautiful Music" and was originally located at AM 820. On May 5, 2005, AM 850 launched progressive talk with the new call letters WCPT.
