Neil Young is the solo debut album by Canadian musician Neil Young. It was his first album after Young's departure from Buffalo Springfield. All songs written by Neil Young, except "String Quartet From Whiskey Boot Hill," written by Jack Nitzsche. Although many sources cite that Young's solo debut was released in January 1969, this is incorrect. The album was originally released on November 12, 1968.
