His previous credits include Gorgoroth, Zyklon-B, Gehenna and Keep Of Kalessin. He joined Satyricon temporarily for the recording of the demo "The Forest is My Throne", later joining the band full-time. He currently studies at a mathematics college in Oslo. His drum-style varies for different bands; as in earlier 1349 and earlier Satyricon he extensively uses blast beats, however his recent Satyricon work is more simplistic and mid-tempo, as is much of his recent work with 1349. With 1349, on the album Hellfire, he drums at a frightening rate of 320 bpm's. He is generally regarded as one of the most proficient and fastest drummers in the black metal scene. On all Satyricon albums his role is credited simply as "battery".
