"Blind Date" is the third episode of the first season of the American situation comedy 30 Rock, which aired on October 25, 2006 on the NBC network in the United States. Jack Donaghy is concerned that Liz Lemon is stressed and under performing because of a lack of human contact. He suggests that she go on a date with his friend Thomas, which she initially refuses. When she almost chokes to death alone in her apartment that night, an action that Jack foreshadowed as the "a single woman's biggest worry," she changes her mind. Poker Night is a Thursday night tradition among the TGS with Tracy Jordan staff. Jack and Tracy join in the action for the first time. Jack instantly raises the stakes as the staff goes from betting quarters to betting hundreds of dollars, Emmy awards, and their wedding rings.
