"Kraven the Hunter" is the tenth episode from the first season of Spider-Man: The Animated Series. It introduced Kraven the Hunter to the series , however, actor Gregg Berger previously voiced Mysterio in an earlier episode.
After arriving for an interview with Doctor Mariah Crawford, Peter discovers a villain by the name of "Kraven the Hunter" attacking her. After Spider-Man is able to elude him, Dr. Crawford explains to the wall-crawler that she was once in love with Kraven, but was forced to treat him with a wonder drug that has the power to heal all wounds, after he was attacked by lions. Unfortunately, the wonder drug caused Kraven to enhance animal characteristics, and subsequently changed his personality. Kraven later kidnaps Robbie Robertson, after being led to believe that he was engaging in an affair with Mariah. Kraven then tracks down Spider-Man and threatens to kill Robbie if he refuses to reveal Mariah.
