Silence is a forthcoming film to be directed by Martin Scorsese ("Silence" was previously made into a film in 1971 by Masahiro Shinoda), from the novel by Shusaku Endo and adapted for screen by three-time collaborator Jay Cocks, a former newspaper film critic.
