The SNES version of the game does not follow the plot of the film though the Ninja Megazord does appear at the end of the game. Other than Ivan Ooze, five of the enemies in the game are taken from the second season of the show while one is made up. The game is a side-scrolling action game. All six Power Rangers are included: Adam, Kimberly, Billy, Aisha, Rocky, and Tommy. They each have signature abilities and moves. Unlike the previous game, the player doesn't morph from human to Ranger halfway through the level but instead morphs once a "Thunder Meter" is filled.
