The channel was added on February 1, 2004 with an entire new theme. Prior to that Spirit was on XM63. The channel (along with the Sirius version, which was a different format) was scrapped on November 12, 2008 as part of the Sirius-XM merger. It was replaced with Sirius's similar channel, Praise.
