Judges for auditions were Nigel Lythgoe (executive producer/creator), Bonnie Lythgoe (Nigel's wife) and Simon Fuller (also an executive producer of the show). Each dancer needed to do a choreography, and after that, the judges decided the 50 dancers that should join them in Hollywood.
