Bonde do Rolê is a Funk Carioca group from Curitiba, Brazil consisting of MCs Pedro D'Eyrot, Laura Taylor, Ana Bernardino, and DJ/MC Rodrigo Gorky. Bonde do Rolê is a Funk Carioca group from Curitiba, Brazil consisting of MCs Pedro D'Eyrot, Laura Taylor, Ana Bernardino, and DJ/MC Rodrigo Gorky. The group started in their hometown Curitiba in the south of Brazil, mixing sexual riffs (ranging from Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" to Alice in Chains' "Man in the Box", but not restricted to these) with funk carioca (sometimes known as baile funk or Brazilian funk). The trio did their first major tour in 2006, with Cansei de Ser Sexy. International producer Diplo first found out about the band through their MySpace account, and pushed them using his own fledgling label, Mad Decent, before Bonde was signed to Domino in 2006.
