Shorty's Skateboards is a skateboard company founded by Tony Buyalos. It was originally started as a hardware company making bolts for skateboards. As time went on they started expanding and making other products, such as Black Magic Grip tape, Quickies, and Black Panther Bearings, Doh Doh Bushings, Dooks Riser Pads, Shorty's Clothing, Shorty's Curb Candy Wax, and eventually professional skateboard decks. They also produced snowboards for a short time in the late 1990s. In 2006, they dropped their professional skateboard team, although they still have an extensive hardware team.
In the earlier days of the company, they were known for their suggestive advertisements featuring naked women, racy drawings, and a some what infamous ad in Big Brother Magazine featuring a plastic vagina. They also had many ads featuring a model named Rosa.
