Merlin is the last of the operas of Isaac Albéniz.
Merlin was written in 1897-1902, the first of a projected trilogy of Arthurian operas commissioned, and supplied with libretti by, the wealthy Francis Money-Coutts, 5th Baron Latymer. It was thought to have been lost, but has recently been reconstructed and performed; Lancelot was never completed by Albéniz, and Guinevere, the final part, never begun by him.
